ST. PAUL
Built in 1899. Again, they didn't have the skyscraper language down yet - the string courses on every other floor push the building down while the columns push it up. It looks like one floor on top of the other, with no particular idea how to tie them together. Still, it's astonishing to think that this was built over 100 years ago. And it's still taller than anything in most towns.
