The firm was named after its founder, the “Henry Ford of Aviation.” – William Piper. His last name is synonymous with personal planes for some people, but doesn’t have the  same fame as Ford. If anyone builds personal spacecraft, they probably won’t be known as the William Piper of spaceships.
