Still the best name ever devised for a fridge. Better than Frigidaire, if you ask me. The company started out as the Duluth Refrigerator Company in ’28, and changed its name in ’34. They were bought, of course, and eventually were folded into ITT during the age of conglomerates. The firm, and name, were done by ’54.
