The Bowl-O-Mat was in the basement of the ill-fated Apache Plaza mall. This page devoted to local bowling has a small picture of senior citizens watching others bowl in 1977.

The Plaza was the second enclosed mall in the state, opening in 1961. It It was demolished in 2004 to community dismay, but it had become a sad place by then, its modernism sullied by bad maintenance and dodgy crowds.
