In the old days when someone wanted to make a point about your gullibility, he’d say “and if you believe that, I have some land in Florida to sell you.”
This is that land. More or less. Or maybe not. The land-in-Florida crack refers to the speculative boom of the 20s, and this appears to be a nice legit post-war come-on. Still, the idea of buying land in another state based on a matchbook seems rather daft.
