In 1922, according to the trade journal "Boot and Shoe Recorder," the Portage factory could turn out 5000 pairs a day. Their work shoes bore the "Bison" brand, and they made work shoes for other companies that sold them under different names. Sometimes for less, I'm sure. Sometimes for more.
One of those companes was "Foot, Schulze & Co."
I suppose if your name is Foot it's going to be shoes or podiatry.
