Remember the ring in the road? It's now occupied by a peculiar statue / fountain / light fixture.

The Dacotah Hotel - makes you wish they’d kept the H on the state’s name. Looks more exotic, somehow.

On the left side of the street, the awnings have been pulled up, revealing an expanse of glass; the storefronts look open and quite modern. In the far distance in the center, a water tower – which still exists, as we’ll see. Nearly everything on the right side fell to fire or the ball, but that’s decades away.
