If you're curious: yes, it was made by the beer brewers. After Prohibition hit they were looking for something else to do, and came up with cheese whose logo reminded you of beer. It was like Velveeta, as you can probably imagine. Kraft sued them for patent infringement, won the case, and became the manufacturer of Pabst-ett. It was discontinued in the late 40s or early 50s. Velveeta uber alles ever since.
