"Change" is underlined in case you didn't get the pun.
Food Fair's wikipedia lage - which cites no references or sources!!! - says it was founded in the late 20s, had more than 500 stores at its peak. Eventually one of its store brands, Pantry Pride, started outpolling Food Fair in the fickle whims of the public fancy, and the stores began to change their name. More sucess followed; the chain expanded from the East Coast to the west, and even opened gas stations and shoe stores. Why not? Conglomorates were the new smart future!
The chain entered bankruptcy in 1978. Divestment began. The chain's mostly gone, although the brand remains here.
