Klein's was a local chain - obviously. By the late 50s they had 16 locations around the Twin Cities. Locally owned indeed, until they weren't: Consolidated Foods bought them up. Competition probably drove the Klein's out of business, although the image put forward by these matchbooks couldn't have helped.
