Capri was a popular name, but it seems cursed, as though all motels from that era that still bear the moniker are doomed to disrepair. Not saying that's the case here; the sign is still intact:

One guest, possibly British, was not impressed: "it was orrible the place was discosting" and so on. More wildly conflicting reviews here.
