Doesn’t say you should actually go in, but if you were wondering if you were close or near, here’s the deal.
If you’re wondering what kind of food they had at the Depot House - why, good old-fashioned railroad food, that’s what. Post Bulletin:
For a few years in the mid ’60s and early ’70s, the Depot House was a hot spot for dinner and dancing. Two rail cars joined near the site of the old Chicago-Northwestern depot (today Civic Center Drive a block west of North Broadway in Rochester) served great food. I have a Depot House ad from 1967 promoting “The Main Street Singers," with dynamic personalities and four-part harmony. “Spend a delightful evening with us in the Baggage Room Bar, Rochester’s new name for fun.”
