Didn't Howard Johnson swipe that slogan? It's not the height of originality, though - and it didn't play to Childs' most famous attribute: hygenic pancakes. More or less. They were known for their flapjacks, and in the early years made a point of their restaurants' cleanliness. This was no smal thing - people were eager to eat out in 1898, but didn't want to grip their guts a few hours later.
