Nowadays the reviews point to a lesser place; one review notes that they charge a “$50 damage fee which would be reimbursed,” but another complains “this hotel demands a 50 bucks facility deposit when there is no facility in the room at all - not even hair drier or coffee maker.” Another said “This place is absolutely horrible. Everything was dirty, stained in blood or old make up. The walls had black lines of dirt on them.”

It was a clean and cheerful California place, once.
