"A place in the sun" was the slogan for the Sands in Vegas, but never mind. The Tides boasted "Efficiencies and Overnite Units." It makes you wonder about area motels if one of them offered its rooms for overnight.

It also offered "foam rubber mattresses," which must have been a selling point in those days. Novelty trumped comfort.

Business does not appear to be booming, and did not boom later enough to save the place. Don't blame the sign, though: that's one spiffy piece of metal and glass.
