Dig it: the LaFont was “A gleaming, new resort furnished in impeccable taste with distinctive meeting rooms accommodating groups up to 300. Red Lion Cocktail Lounge. Glass-walled diving room looks out on heated Junior Olympic-size pool.” Yes!

When I first put up this page years ago, it had a website. It still shows up on travel recommendation pages. Google Street View has an image, as you see on the left. One review says: "This motel should be bull dozed. It has outlived its function as a lodging facility with everything worn out and in disrepair. It is of the 1970's vintage and grossly over priced for the quality offered."

Bulldozed it was.
