An early panorama, complete with an actual panorama: The circular building on the right side was the Panorama building.
This picture was taken from the tower of City Hall. Nearly nothing here is recognizable to the modern eye; the Dayton's store still stands, but that's it. The building was demolished in 1958 to provide plaza space for the new First National Bank. The picture to the left was taken during the First Nat's construction, and as you can tell: it was a solid beast, tough to kill.
